The funny thing is the manager only gets to fill like 9 spots on their own. The fans pick the 8 starters, and players choose 5 SP, 3 RP, and 8 backups (one for each position). Plus the final vote.

So with your reserves all set, you would think it's not that hard to look at the leftovers and pick the 9 best guys.
