I loved this movie as a kid, but watching it yesterday I'm not sure how it made so much money. I guess the Will Smith summer blockbuster factor + the White House exploding and throw in the guy from Jurassic Park, but it has aged in a more "it's so bad it's good" than "it's good" way. Lots of the explosions look like they are something you would see in a direct-to-DVD now. Not the movie's fault, but it's noticeable now.

Also how the hell did the people with spears take down the ship?
