The Rock was definitely entertaining and fun to watch. He was charismatic and a great mic worker. He gave some of the greatest interviews. He put on some great matches, like his "I Quit" match with Mankind at Royal Rumble 1999 and his match with Stone Cold at Wrestlemania XV. I don't take into account his "paint by numbers" wrestling matches or lack of technical wrestling or however you want to put it because that was simply how he was booked to work. Although, I definitely gotta agree, The Rock had one of the worst ever Sharpshooters ever.
But, my vote definitely has to go to Bret. He's my 2nd favorite wrestler(right after Hulk Hogan). He may not have been the most charismatic or the best mic worker, but he is arguably the best technical wrestler ever. His technical wrestling and workrate in the ring was second to none. His matches told a story. Some of his matches are among my all time favorites.
His match against Mr. Perfect at Summer Slam '91 was amazing. It was spectacular. Probably my favorite match ever.
His rematch with Mr. Perfect at King of the Ring '93 was a close runner-up. Very great match. A classic.
His match with Rowdy Roddy Piper at Wrestlemania VIII was great.
His Steel Cage match against Owen at Summerslam '94 was epic. Best Steel Cage match I've ever seen.
He even made that fat tub of lard,Yokozuna, look good at Wrestle Mania IX and X.
Even his tag team matches in the Hart Foundation. The Hart Foundation vs. The Nasty Boys at Wrestlemania VII was a classic.
My vote definitely has to go to Bret.
