Can't really comment about the steroids, as I don't claim to know for sure, but he definitely was way more muscular and wrestled very differently after the back problems. In his day, Steiner was one of the best athletes in wresling. I saw a couple matches where the Steiners used a tag finisher where Rick had the opponent sitting on his shoulders (ala the Road Warriors' Doomsday Machine) and Scott came of the top ropes and hit a Frankensteiner aka huracanrana.
