Bigger issue: Linda McMahon had about as much of a role in "taming" pro-wrestling as Austin's second wife (Chris Adams' ex) had in creating the Stone Cold gimmick. And even THAT is being generous.
Yeah, but people in general love scapegoats. This is just the IWC/Smark scapegoat. There's always something, and while the toning down of wrestling started years before her senate ambitions, mobs rarely stop to let facts get in the way of their mobbing.

*cue Noid bitching that I'm pretending I'm not part of the IWC, though I'm not claiming that at all*
