I also picked up the Blackest Night hardcover, and I suggest you all do the same. I know I said in the comic group that it wasn't as good as I thought it would be, but it's still very good.
The main reason you should pick it up is the artwork. Ivan Reis is easily the best penciler in comics today, and this is his swan song. There are several two page spreads in every issue, and all of them are packed with so much detail, that it's hard to even start to take it all in. Some of them have upwards of 50 characters in them, yet every single one is detailed, and isn't just a sillouette, like in a lot of similar pieces by other artists.
Also, after reading this, and Flash: Rebirth, Barry Allen has become another of my favorite DC characters.
