Sexist, no. Pragmatic, yes. Lets face it, the WWE has trained their fanbase to look at the divas as eye candy and nothing more. Promoting women who they don't view as someone "The universe" would be attracted to would be an incredibly silly business decision for them.
Plus, don't expect them to put an actual women's match together in the ring...they won't go longer than a couple of minutes. That being put into consideration, why NOT hire someone whose good looking over good in the ring, if the former is what you're selling?
