It is with deep sadness to report that former WWF Women’s wrestler Luna Vachon (Gertrude Vachon), the niece of WWE Hall of Famer Mad Dog Vachon, has passed away today aged 48. No details are known at this time as to the cause of death of Vachon, who recently lost all of her possessions in a house fire.

David Herro, promoter of Great Lakes Championship Wrestling, where Luna was a 1-time GLCW Ladies Champion confirmed Vachon’s death on his twitter, “With a broken heart I am crushed 2 tell u that one of the most amazing people I have ever known has died,” Herro said. “God Bless Luna Vachon. I love u”
