So this new rule about the refs spotting the ball and having to be in position before the snap can happen.

Thoughts? Obviously I think it is a bad thing, but what are everyone else's opinions? I feel they should just give that ref a helmet or something, or put some more athletic refs in that position. The refs should adapt to the game, not the game adapts to the refs. Obviously, Manning was testing it and pushing his luck that game, but for good reason IMO. Any other team that relies even somewhat on the no-huddle should be up in arms about this change, and people shouldn't simply agree with the change because it hurts a team that uses it against them.

Dunno, I never really saw too many refs getting injured from that position regardless, so it almost seems like nobody really thought about it very hard when they proposed the idea.
