True but, if you're only assigned two feuds to write and there is a team leader, I imagine it could work. There would need to be a bit of coordination to make the cards work of course, and that's why there would need to be a team leader.
I imagine it would work like this
Team Leader assigns you one-two feuds. "You're in charge of Anderson VS. Hardy and Samoa Joe VS. CM Punk, what are your ideas?"
Then, the writer would plan out a month-long storyline to either culminate at the PPV or somewhere off in the future.
"Samoa Joe is going to come out after CM Punk's match and just wreck him the fuck up for no reason and then leave without saying a word. The next week CM Punk will be in the hospital and deliver a taped message to Joe and..."
The Head Booker would need to make sure that there are some bodies not involved with any major storylines to throw into matches too else we'd have a lot less wrestling (for some shows that might be the idea).
