I think the biggest mistake they made with the angle was making it about the individuals instead of about the company. WCW clearly didn’t have the same level of name talent, but that could have been minimized if you focused on the individual companies in my opinion.

After that PPV you could maybe enhance WCW's talent by having someone like Austin get pissed at Vince and sign with Shane and WCW or have some of the old WCW guys go back.

Then you could have another WCW vs. WWE PPV the next year. I'd hype it and promote it as second only to Wrestlemania. This would be where I'd debut someone like Goldberg, or the NWO and have WCW go over. I feel like this would set the stage for WCW being seen as a legit brand. Then you could put in place the silly GMs and all that other shit.
