There's this one guy I'm friends with and every single time his team loses there is an excuse for it. Naturally the second that play happened yesterday his Facebook status is "Refs had it in for Notre Dame. FUCK THE BIG 10!"

Yeah, I'll admit that the play clock clearly ran out, but I've noticed that in college they almost always give an extra second for field goals. My guess is that the reason is because the holder has no way of seeing the clock or something.
