Yeah but it was a good turn from Svensson, and I think that if Given is as good as people say, then he would have either held the shot, or pushed it out away from the goalmouth. The defending was aweful, but I think Given could have done better. The only good save I can think of is at Givens near post when a Saint had a shot and it got deflected of Bramble(i think) and given got down and got his fist to it then Bernard cleared it. If Given reacted that quick to Svenssons shot, then Beattie would not have scored.
Blaney did mush better then I expected him too, for a debut keeper in the premierhsip you think he would get pissed on, but he made some good saves, especially from Shearers second half header.
