Cards have been mathematically eliminated anyway.

8 postseason spots, 6 have clinched - only 3 teams mathematically still in the running for the final 2 slots. If the Giants/Braves can win their next 2 games and the Pads drop their next 2, the race is already over. Would be the first time in quite awhile that there's been a final weekend of completely meaningless baseball across the board.

Well, actually, there's still the AL East race technically but nobody seems to really give a shit about the formality/home field that goes along with it.
