I liked Edge becoming "the guy who stops stupid stuff." Swagger's promo before he came out was pretty good, though, even if you could see him "turning" on Oklahoma with the Red River Shootout being this weekend and him being a former Oklahoma player.
The show as a whole was pretty subpar by SmackDown standards, but that's what you get when you're trying to "debut" as many wrestlers to a "new" audience as possible while also trying to hype Sunday's PPV. Really, how many "new" viewers are they picking up that are completely clueless about who these characters are?
It was nice to see Bearer back last week, but Undertaker/Kane has gone back to being pretty uninteresting to me. When some dumbass fan falling down trying to get closer to them brawling in the crowd is the highlight of their encounter, it's bad.
Oh, and nothing gets me ready to watch a wrestling show like a Green Day song. It's like they sat around trying to find something that would be "cool" and "hip" and remembered that all the kids loved American Idiot like 10 years ago.
