New season. One game. And you are acting like the Oilers just beat the 1972 Soviet All Star Team. (oh god! an American that knows about the summit series! what a world!) Good game? Sure. Good win to have with that young team? Of course. But stop trying to make it out to be more than it is: 1 win in a 82 game season.

Yes last year for both of those examples, again I want to reiterate that both those teams have been virtually unchanged since last season.
Colorado made very few changes during the offseason, while as you know Chicago effectively moved to Atlanta.
Phoenix had a strong team last year and had very few players even approaching 80 points, they were also virtually unchanged.
The Oilers didnt beat the Soviet
National (Not All-Star) Team, but they put up an impressive win where they were the underdogs, you cant deny that and if you do there really is no point in arguing with you.
