My biased opinion. (Angles that have no use being angles edition)
OK, I know I am posting this way too god damned late, but I admittedly don't follow WWE outside of the boards. By "angles that have no use being angles," I'm talking about shit like Piggie James or "Serena gets drunk at the bar."
Ok, if you're having internal issues with a person you're working with, is it too much to ask to keep it, I dunno, INTERNAL? WWE has a really fucking bad habit of trying to make shoot angles or storylines out of things that should NOT be made.
Don't get me wrong, I don't dislike realistic, or "shoot" based storylines in general. I thought the whole Jake Roberts-Randy Savage feud worked for that very reason. And despite it's one-sided nature, the Edge-Matt Hardy feud, based on real life events, made Edge the most hated guy in the WWE.
I'm talking about stupid angles that are only meant to humiliate the people that are involved in them. Like the Piggie James angle, like the Serena thing, like "You're Welcome." (Though I will say that Saturn played it so over the top that he made it work.) Fuck, it goes all the way back to Adrian Adonis, who was given a gay gimmick because he got fat.
Main issue is, with very rare exceptions, it doesn't get over. The fans don't know or care what's going on behind the curtain. Hell, I doubt most of TPDub even knew about Serena's partying when the angle was made out of it. And beyond that, it seems counter productive.
That's kind of it. If you want to comment, say something now or whatever.
