That's what I've been saying for years, and it's something Madden should do. But neither will because they make way too much on the yearly model.

The best model (for the consumer) would be to sell the base game one year and keep updating it with DLC, both free and paid DLC. Have one large DLC every year for like $20 -$30. It would include all updated attires, arenas and new moves/match types, if needed. Do not put out another one until significant changes happen.

A few years ago it was the control stick (I think 08, possibly 07). That would have been the "last game" until this year's with the physics engine. The next one could be an overhaul of graphics, for example.
