Nash wants in Royal Rumble; WWE needs him
November 3, 2010 11:27 PM

Kevin Nash, who recently left TNA Wrestling after both sides couldn't agree on new contract terms, had this to say recently on his Twitter page:

"Vince let me in the Rumble if I win i get taker at mania. If I lose I'll join the kiss your * club the next raw...DEAL?"

I think this a great move by Nash.

Why, you ask? Simple.

WWE is lacking some serious talent depth right now. Most of it has to do with health issues.

The main-event scene isn't the problem.

John Cena is likely going to help Wade Barrett beat Randy Orton at Survivor Series and Barrett is then likely to lose to Cena at the Royal Rumble, setting up Cena vs. Orton for WM 27.

Stone Cold Steve Austin is rumored to play some kind of role at WM 27, which is a smart business move.

There are some huge names out with injuries.

First is the Undertaker. If he has shoulder surgery, he might miss WrestleMania 27.

Second is CM Punk. He will have surgery on a torn tendon in either his hip or buttocks and is possible for WM 27. Punk was scheduled to feud with United States Champion Daniel Bryan.

Third is Evan Bourne. One of the most exciting performers in WWE is scheduled to return from shoulder surgery in February, just in time for WM 27.

As a result of all these injuries, guys like Chris Jericho, The Great Khali and Val Venis are coming back into the fold.

And a big name like Nash will likely get a Royal Rumble spot.

This doesn't mean at all Nash will win the Rumble and go on to face the Undertaker, but it's an option.

And WWE needs all that options it can get right now.
