Alright, thank you Krispy. That got it going.
IT'S SO FUCKING STUPID
Listen, it's basic sentence structure and word agreement. The word "we" means myself and at least one other person. The statement "We are going to the mall" means that I and at least one other person are going to the mall. For that to be true, then the statements "I am going to the mall" and "At least one other person is going to the mall" must also be true. The only way the We sentence is true if the other two sentences are true. Does everybody see that? Are we all in agreement? Good.
NOW, let's apply that to sports. A Lakers fan talking about his favorite team makes the statement "We played really hard in the game tonight." The ONLY way for that statement to be true is if the statements "I played really hard in the game tonight" and "The Lakers played really hard in the game tonight" are true. Well guess what? Lakers fan didn't play in the fucking game. So there's no possible way he could've played hard. So there's no way his statement "We played really hard in the game tonight" is true. So it makes no fucking sense.
So it's WRONG
