It's been a long, long, long, long, long, loooooong time coming, but Running With Scissors has declared that the third installment in its controversial shooter series, Postal 3, is nearing the end of its development cycle.

"It’s in the final stages in Moscow, I don’t think it will come out this Christmas," says a rather curt Vince Desi.

Despite the game's lengthy development, and Postal's reputation as a not-very-great series, I've been waiting patiently to give Postal 3 a go. By now I fear the game will be rather out-of-touch and attempt to be "controversial" by the standards of the nineties, thus making itself look rather dated and tragic, but the prospect of fighting with a badger in a harness is too damn tempting to pass up.

I certainly wish Postal 3 all the best. I just hope it's evolved past "Isn't shooting people funny?"

Wooooo. And Postal 2 had already evolved beyond that, it also had "Isn't pissing/STD's/Gary Coleman funny"
