I highly doubt the Jericho/Michaels situation was as bad as Helms makes it sound. Jericho sounds awful fond of the guy, not just professionally but personally, on DVDs as recent as this fall.
I don't think that was being kayfabed.

I bet almost anything it has something to do with that drunken incident last January. ABT is spot on. It makes too much sense.
Michaels was probably bitching them out. Maybe that makes him self-righteous or whatever, but disagreements happen. The bitterness would probably stem from the fact that Helms was released.
