What difficulty are you playing? I'm mostly doing Medium. No way am I doing expert on any song that isn't retardedly simple just yet.

What's the difference between pro drums and the "old" blue and green cymbals? I only ask because my Ion kit is packed up due to space constraints, so I've only been using my RB1 kit. No cymbals. pro or otherwise.
As usual I dived into expert difficulty to start, I like to see how bad it can get to get a grip faster. Mostly it just means failing before the second chorus. It helps to look at keys while playing, but that means I'd have to know the song pretty much by heart. It is also the most rewarding experience in the game series to complete a chord or two, despite playing keys in the past.

The pro drums adds yellow, blue, and green cymbal icons in the game, along with the same color 'pills'. It can get confusing, but if you play drums on expert, you can nail pro expert (mostly).
