Sucks, but I don't think it's the end of the world. He could be back eventually. I feel like they probably had plans to push him on Smackdown, but focused on Del Rio and Ziggler.
Seems like he was being primed for an IC title program of some kind, but it just never happened. It's as though Ziggler just caught fire this fall, and they put their eggs in that basket.
Perhaps they would have used him down the line, but in all honesty I didn't think he was going to be as successful in the WWE as Daniel Bryan or Barrett. Midcard would have been nice a la Bourne.
