I miss it when there were legitimate shockers. Not just shit for the purposes of grabbing attention, but some greatness came out of nowhere. Remember when Stephanie McMahon announced that there would be a SmackDown!-exclusive Tag Team Championship, and she randomly ordered Kurt Angle & Chris Benoit to be tag team partners? Those matches with Edge & Rey Mysterio and Los Guerreros were amazing, and there was entertaining stuff behind it.

I don't think I've ever been prouder to be a wrestling fan in the time spanning from 2003 (SmackDown!'s 2003, anyway) to 2004. Chris Benoit and Eddie Guerrero closing the show together is a moment that could have closed wrestling's history. Who has a story like that these days? Christian and John Morrison are perhaps the only two, and even then, it's iffy.
