What I thought would have been awesome is that as soon as Cena became part of Nexus Barrett should have ordered him to take out Randy Orton, help Nexus win matches, etc... Then set up a match between Orton and Cena and order Cena to win the WWE title. From there you could do two things, Cena lies down for Orton and gets fired and then beaten down and taken off tv for a bit. Or as I'd love to have seen it Cena wins then the next night on Raw Barrett orders Cena to defned the title against him and lie down. Cena does so but when Barrett makes the cover,Cena rolls through 1,2,3 still Champ but fired. Have Cena cut a promo saying that the prestige of the WWE title means more to him then his job, then Nexus jumps and kills Cena off TV for a few weeks. So now the title is held up and the GM declares that the KOTR tourney will determine the new WWE champion. Now here you could have Orton win KOTR and then have the Miz cash in right after (Orton would have had to wrestle 3 or 4 matches let's not forget) or Shamus wins beating JMO and then the next week at the coronation ceremony when JMO kicked the crap out of Shamus have MIz come in and cash in and there voila you have almost exactly the same feuds as before only now Barrett doesn't look like a complete idiot (I mean yes Cena pinned him but Barrett would have regained his heat by killing Cena right after) and the WWE title is put over a little more even as Cena cared about it more then his job.
