Six things that Gass learned from Monday Night Raw (01/17)

6. That Little Rock crowd was hot. They were into every match. Props to the locals. Haven’t seen an arena this alive in recent memory. It tonight was any indicate, WWE should tour the south more often…get away from this New England/Mid-Atlantic shit.

5. The Raw-Smackdown barriers are being broken down…at least until WrestleMania. Ziggler/Guerrero/del Rio on Raw on a weekly basis? Is this just to push Ziggler/del Rio or to start the collapse of the two brand names? (rhetorical question)

4. The Bella Twins are hot. Period. Someone book these two in an incest-lesbo angle. As one fellow TPWWer posted, “Damn the Bella twins are fine pieces of meat, i wouldn't mind peeing in their buttholes.”

3. Fuck Mark Henry. Retire, you plastic-arm-travailing fuck.

2. John Morrison has a bright future. Sure the guy needs to work on his mic skills. Who cares? Morrison has proven in recent weeks that he can work a match well with anyone regardless of their styles…Miz, Bryan…. He reminds me of a young HBK more and more each week—and not just with his “high-flying style.” Nice ring charisma, nice chemistry, nice moveset.

1. Jerry Lawler should move towards retirement. This guy bores me week after week. It’s not that he’s a bad commentator per se… he just hasn’t evolved since he started in the position; maybe he’s even degraded a bit. This isn’t 1997 anymore, Jerry. We need snappy comebacks, intelligent play-by-play, and commentary that’s going to further the storylines, not detract from them. He seems “lost” several times each episode, and he even appeared like he didn’t care about anything going on in the ring a few times tonight…which seems the norm lately. Anytime Cole throws him a set-up, he blanks out. “Uhhh… Well, Michael…”
