Skepsis a dynamic, up and coming progressive/metal/rock act. With layers of intricate and heavy rhythmical drums and bass, technical guitar playing, soaring vocal melodies, and bellowing screams, this is a band whose groovability is as sure a thing as gravity. Skepsis means skeptical in many languages around the world. Beyond that it is a two-tiered settlement in Ancient Greece, and was also a library where Aristotle shelved his works in modern day western Turkey. By definition of the word, it means: philosophic doubt as to the objective reality of phenomena; broadly : a skeptical outlook or attitude. Andrew Penner (Penner), Roozbeh Bahmani (Rooz), and Tommy Siatskas have been writing music, and defining their sound under the name Skepsis since July of 2006. What started as a hobby, has grown into a progressive and modern-day metal band that has recently re-invented itself with the addition of front man Brock Buckley, and bassist Dave Harris. The band has found recent success in the Toronto Music Scene and has plans for releasing a demo and future EPK. Shows are always coming and going - so check back often for new material and a chance to see the band play live sometime soon!

No, really?
