As for the promo itself, they've absolutely humanized him. It reminded me a lot of an American Bad Ass Taker promo without talking about soup bones and using biker jargon. And honestly, I have no problem with it. I wish it had happened sooner (say, 2006-2007), as this may be the last of Taker we ever see. It would have opened his feuds up a lot I think.
I see him, right now, as playing an old west-type of gimmick in the modern day. Hence the "Last Outlaw" name. The attire fits it for sure. And if it's Taker's last match, it'll be a fine way for him to "ride into the sunset".

I think it works as a pre-theme intro. Like they did with his return. The song itself and the chains dragging is cool to set up for his entrance, and show his silhouette, but it should then go to his regular entrance theme for his actual entrance.
Similar to the King of Kings theme and All About The Game.
