Because it takes legit skill to be good with big men types. You know how many shitty Zangiefs there are out there as opposed to good ones. Compare that to Ryus or Akumas or any other character with more attack options. It's even worse in other games.

BTW, you should try out Tekken 6. Got a feeling you'd be pretty beastly with the Kings, Dragunov and Marduk.
