At least for me, I always root for the underdog. I know what it's like to be under-utilized at work and watch people less talented than me pass me by for promotions. So when I see someone with skill who is stuck in a rut while others get elevated, I'm going to pull for that guy.

Don't want to speak for the rest of the board, but that's at least my reasoning.
