WWE is very standoffish when it comes to this stuff because of Benoit. If they went in, say, a car accident, it'd definitely open with Vince announcing it similarly to Pillman. But other than that, MAYBE a tribute video and wrestlers mentioning it in promos before or after their match.

I think someone like Austin or Hogan would get an all-out tribute show from WWE. Again, depending on the circumstances.
I've said this in another thread a while ago, but the fact is that Austin or Hogan would likely pull ratings for WWE. I know it sounds cold, but WWE is a business and doing that type of show would be good business.
