Depending on how you feel about the whole Online Pass situation, Ed Boon tries to explain why the idea is very good and helpful for his studio.

He doesn't mention anything about DLC being a way studios can recuperate costs but believes his studio deserves a share of every sale of the game regardless if it is new or used. According to his view, his studio deserves the normal share from a new sale copy and then each used sale is seen as another copy and not the same game.
