Crying over wrestling and crying over wrestler's dying/retiring is completely different.
I don't recall ever actually crying over a wrestler's retirement/death, I may have when Eddie died, not bawled but I may have had tears in my eyes, can't remember. And Edge's retirement speech did 'provoke emotion' from me.
Of course it did, we watched Edge week in week out for years and years. You've probably seen him live, you probably know about his real life stuff. You've seen him almost grow up. Wrestling isn't like a soap-opera or something, it combines that with sport hence the 'real' feel to it, the more personal feel. We all know that wrestling is 'different'. Edge's retirement is just one example, but he is an example of someone who provided lots of entertainment for people for years, he's been on our TV screens for YEARS, and done a lot for the wrestling industry, surely it's understandable to be upset?
And as for cases like Eddie Guerrero, on top of the reasons I just said, that's a fucking tragedy. People were crying when Michael Jackson, Lady Diana, even a few for Nate Dogg (MOUNT UP!). It's understandable brahhh.
