The concept of WWE owning and operating another wrestling company completely seperately from their brand is an interesting one.
It allows them to tap into other fan bases or try new things without making changes to their bread and butter.
Of course they'd inevitably do crossovers or talent exchange, but keeping the products mostly seperate in name and direction would be very interesting.
That's the concept I gathered from the "acquire new entertainment properties" bit. They could own and operate anything from another wrestling promotion, to an MMA league, or whatever else, and keep the WWE name mostly off of it directly.
That's something I think Vince has a hard time doing though. Whether it be WWE films, XFL or the bodybuilding federation, all those outside endeavors were ultimately promoted all over the main product and were laced with references and branding that called attention to them being part of the WWF/E. And in every case I think that's something that ultimately hurt them.
