So my problem with this season is this... They kill off Crowley, and they give the angels storyline a bit of a much needed rest. Fine. It needed to move on to something new and I'm enjoying the boys going back to random cases again. Then they just seem to lose their nerve, kill Eve really easily, and suddenly Crowley isn't really dead and Cas is working both sides? WTF? The writers head straight back into angels vs demons territory ignoring some of the cool things that made Season 6 unique.

Overall, not a bad season, but for me it fell to pieces at the end. Purgatory was a really cool idea, but Eve should have been the harbinger that Sam and Dean needed to stop, imagine if Eve became as powerful as Cas at the end of the finale, that would be a serious holy shit moment leading into Season 7.
That basically sums it up perfectly.
