Kobe Bryant is reportedly very upset over the Lakers picking Brown and not Shaw or the long shot of Van Gundy.
Brown is a defensive style coach but he doesn't play the triangle and Kobe and a few other Lakers players don't want to have to learn a new system since some of them benefited big time from Jackson's triangle (ex. Odom).
