Like him or hate him, LeBron James is the talk of the NBA right now. The Miami Heat star is three wins away from his first championship and has everyone who loves basketball yapping about him. Jim Ross a former wrestling announcer and WWE executive who’s now working behind the scenes for RAW, believes that King James has copied the wrestling handbook by changing his personality from a hero to villain.
MEDIA BISTRO found quotes taken from the book titled “The Whore of Akron,” that has Ross commenting on James professional transformation from his Cleveland days.
“After a long, productive tenure as a fan favorite, he changed the story line and the way he did it, by going on ESPN, with Jim Gray as his straight man, was a classic wrestling promotion,” Ross said. “A hero doesn’t brag on his own abilities. It was a self-centered point of view that told his fans, ‘I’ve changed my philosophy.’ ”
