I also believe He changed his name to the Warrior as a way to ensure that he would always be able to use the name without the WWe's Lawyers knockling down his door. So while it does sound crazy to change your name to the Warrior it does ensure that he can promote himself as the Warrior with no repercussions.

Well, he could have changed it to Jim Warrior, but just Warrior? Kind of weird. I always liked Bobby Heenan's remark "maybe I'll get up tomorrow and change my name to Weasel."
Still though, didn't Rick Rude legally change his name from Richard Rood to Ravishing Rick Rude? He doesn't get any ridicule at all for that... of course, you know, dead and all...
