Roberto Roode is injured, so Alex Shelley offered to substitute for him. Or something like that. Honestly, I think the card has potential to not suck. It just needs to be booked right:
* Matt Morgan should go over Scott Steiner. It's time for an older star to make a newer one.
* While I love Samoa Joe, it makes no real sense to have Joe end Crimson's streak right now. Unless they plan to push Samoa Joe, which would be all kinds of good. In fact, if I were booking, I'd probably go with that -- perhaps with Crimson ending up in a tag team with Amazing Red. Aren't the two meant to be kayfabe brothers, or something?
* AJ Styles beats Bully Ray. There is no other way to book this thing. Even if Immortal gets involved, Styles should have Christopher Daniels and Fortune and Devon as back-up. In fact, I'd have Ray take such a beating here that they write him off for a couple of weeks. It can help some other guys on the roster get some more time. Ray's been an awesome heel lately, but it's time for the face to get the big victory. I'd probably do King of the Mountain next month with Styles and Joe both going forward into the match from here.
* Kurt Angle makes Jeff Jarrett tap, keeping his medals and securing a shot at the TNA World Heavyweight Championship at the next PPV. Hopefully against the right man.
* Angelina Love beats Mickie James, since she's been presented as such a destructive force. If she can't beat Mickie, then what threat is she? I suppose it'd make sense for Winter to then get Love to award her the Knockout Title, which causes unrest with the other girls in the division -- because they feel that Angelina should be free, and that Winter should earn her title.
* I'd probably include Eric Young vs. Gunner as a bonus match on the PPV, just because it has been built up probably better than anything else on the card. Young retains the TV Title, that much would be a given. You could have Orlando Jordan cancel out Immortal interference, and either keep Young & Jordan together as buddies who help each other -- or have Jordan turn on Young because he wants the TV Title. It'd set up a new feud and a new guy for Young to go over.
* The X-Division Title match is probably the hardest to call. I think Abyss is actually calling it the "Extreme Championship." Something ridiculous like that. This shit needs to end, and while the plan is to probably drag it out, I think they should just have a real X-Division wrestler win the belt. I'd probably go with Kendrick, because he hasn't held it before, and it seems like he best fits the sneaky win. Go with Kazarian vs. Kendrick for the X-Division Title at Destination X. Keep Abyss in the hunt, though. Just keep the belt off him.
* The British Invasion should beat "Gun Money," as I've seen them being called. There is just more (kayfabe) chemistry going on with them. Also, despite this "respect" thing The Motor City Machine Guns and Beer Money have going on -- I think their old rivalry should cause a bit of a rift. I want to see some more MCMG vs. Beer Money matches, dammit! Also, with TNA doing quite well in England, putting over some English guys wouldn't hurt, would it?
* And Ken Anderson should beat Sting to win his second TNA World Heavyweight Title. No question about it. I think Sting has been World Champion for TNA since, like, what? February? I don't think we really need to see him holding the belt any longer. Also, with TNA changing their slogan, they should put their best foot forward and give us a guy who can still wrestle a full schedule as the torch-bearer of the company. From here, Anderson is set to do battle with Kurt Angle -- which led to some of TNA's best matches ever last year, and could do so again. The World Title being involved and the past history of these two guys would make another match between the two a "must buy" for both fans of TNA.
