Robert Nutting has stated repeatedly that the Pirates are not for sale. Mario Lemieux's partner, Ron Burkle, went public during the past offseason that he would LOVE to buy the team and help them do what they're doing with the Pens - build for the future while not forgetting about today. To which Nutting said thanks but no thanks.
