Not really. As Mr. JamesSteele said, he's in an anti-WWE angle. Hell, he was about to talk about how bullshit their anti-bullying shit is. In fact, it'd almost make sense if he did do the most to get the WWE into trouble.
My personal opinion is that words are words, and Punk was doing his job as a heel. He probably should choose wittier things to say than "You're a homo!" but he came out on his own an apologised for it -- which furthers my belief that he's actually signed a new contract with the WWE.
