To be fair, MvC 3 sales dropped badly once people found out how "incomplete" the game felt once the DLC plans of extra modes and characters were announced.

Street Fighter IV is also interesting in how each new addition is selling about 50% than the previous one because SFIV sold about 3 million combined, SSFIV sold 50% less, and SSFIV AE is on pace to barely reach 50% of Super's sales.

Although good news for Mortal Kombat because it proved people still like MK and all they wanted was the series to fix the stiff and stale parts.
