Pretty sure he's talking about the draft deadline signings, not the trade deadline.

And your reasons for not liking Tabata as a player are pretty dumb. Sure, his reasons for wanting #21 are dumb, but he's a nice player and signing him for that money was a good deal for the Pirates.
