I find playing the angles is best, don't get too far ahead and stand near corners so your team doesn't get psuhed back. People tend to be scared of heavys (for good reason up close)

I get to stay out of sniper view and watch the area immediately ahead and behind my team and if it gets too crowded ill spray my team to spy check. Better out 20 shots then teammates backstabbed.
