And I appreciate that. I think my main problem was not the concept of Rey winning the title in Eddie's honour but rather the way his death was used as a basis for a feud.

My biggest point was when Randy Orton told Rey that Eddie "is in hell" just because it seemed so unnecessary and went past the point of Rey winning as a tribute but was instead all that feud became about. Assuming, and I really hope they did, the WWE told Rey that Orton was going to say that, he would have been entirely within his right to say "that's taking things too far" and no one would have punished him.
