Yeah, it's a pretty dead (no pun intended) giveaway that it's not going to happen. Though I'm pretty sure we were supposed to know this already, from the point it happens. I mean, everything is kind of carefully staged by the Doctor, and it's not just to go back in time and deal with the Silence.

Unfortunately, I haven't enjoyed the trip on this one. I've loved the individual stops, but the overall arc seems lame compared to series five. And 1-4. It beats the specials, though.

This is subject to change, since I haven't seen the whole arc, but this season seems better as a loose collection of episodes than an arc. I partially blame BBC for that. It's ironic, because it's more obviously an arc, too.
