It was cheapest by several hundred bucks, and it's STILL one of the top-rated.

In part because BDs are better optimised for the PS3, which means they load faster than on some of the faster drives (Some, not all), making up for the slow BD drive.

Plus, now it's my Netflix player, because it's got better quality than the 360 version. I don't know why, but....

And, it happens to have some good titles. Win-win.
