In the latest UFC broadcast, we have learned that there will be a publishing delay for UFC undisputed 3. The game was originally supposed to be released in January, however that date is now changed and being planned for February 14.

Now, was this the wise decision? it seems like in January UFC Undisputed 3 was going to be the only game being released other then NFL blitz which is a downloadable title. UFC 3 would have January all for its self in the sports genre. Now that the date is moved to February, THQ’s UFC Undisputed 3 will be going up against EA Sports’ SSX

As we all know, UFC Undisputed 2010 did not perform very well at retail. This is why THQ has decided to go to a every other year type of release schedule, being the reason there was not UFC released in 2011.

With the poor retail sales and market competition being the blame of the reason last release was so poor, THQ might have a market research suggesting that Post Christmas release will not affect the sales of UFC Undisputed 3.

Lets hope this time around they are correct.
