Kemp should have won but Braun winning isn't that bad although I could see if the writers felt Braun had more value to the Brewers than Kemp to the Dodgers and maybe the idea of Kemp being similar to when A-Rod won in 2003 (I think).

The Brewers themselves shifted their entire focus onto Braun for the year while Kemp might have gotten the stigma of his stats not really benefiting the Dodgers even though they were horrible except him for most of the season.

Then again the writers always have some weird thinking that a lot of the times barely makes any sense considering their past votes or thinking (ex. a DH can never be an MVP while a guy who pads his stats on a horrible team is MVP-worthy).
